FAQS

GENERAL

  • This is my first time at Electric Studio. Do I need cycling, boxing or reformer experience?
No, you don’t! The great thing about our workouts is that anyone can do it regardless of fitness level. Learn more about what to expect from your first indoor cycling class here, first rhythm boxing class here, and first core reformer class here.
  • Is there a beginner class?
We recommend our signature classes made for all fitness levels - Pure Electric (Cycling), Pure Rhythm (Boxing) and Pure Sculpt (Core Reformer). How tough your class will be is entirely up to you. For your first time, arrive 15 minutes early for proper class orientation and most importantly, have fun!
  • How old do I have to be to join?
You have to be at least 14 years old and 4’11”. If you are under the age of 18, your parent/legal guardian must sign your waiver form before your first class.

  • What happens if I arrive late for class?
Your spot may be given away to the waitlist if you do not call or check in the front desk 5 minutes before class start time. If you are running late, please call the studio and we will hold your spot until 5 minutes after class starts. For safety reasons, you will not be allowed to enter the bike/box/reformer room past 5 minutes after class starts. First timers must arrive at least 15 minutes before class and complete pre-class requirements.

YOUR FIRST CLASS

  • What should I wear? What do I need to bring?
    • Indoor Cycling - We recommend form-fitting sportswear, particularly tight leggings for women. It can get really hot so wear anything you don’t mind sweating in. We provide complimentary bike shoe rentals. You may bring your own as long as they are Look Keo compatible. Don’t forget your socks!
    • Rhythm Boxing - We recommend breathable, sweat-wicking sportswear. Sneakers must be worn for all classes. We recommend that they support your ankles, have a low platform and good grip. Gloves and hand wraps are mandatory for class. We have complimentary glove rentals. Should you wish to bring your own, we recommend a 14oz boxing glove. You may bring your own hand wraps or purchase Electric Studio quick wraps in the studio. Note that when you bring your own hand wraps, our crew will not be able to assist in wrapping them for you as we all have different ways to support our hands. An instructional video will be provided upon request.
    • Core Reformer - We recommend breathable, moisture-wicking clothing that fits close to the body to facilitate full movement. Note that this is a shoe-free workout. Grippy socks are required to ensure safety and performance on the reformer machine. If you don’t have a pair, grippy socks are available for purchase at the front desk.
    • Other things to bring: ID if it is your first time to Electric or if you are on the First Timer Package, water bottle for hydration is a must, and a towel. Complimentary towel rentals are available upon request.
  • How early should I come?
For safety reasons, all first timers must arrive at least 15 minutes before class, check in with the front desk and complete pre-class requirements. Otherwise you may not be allowed to join the class.
